Halloween!

Izzi The Vampire Bride, Griffin The Bloody Ninja, Angus as Steve The Cat, Bess The Saucy Pirate and Monty The Blue Samurai.
Lichen as Steve The Cat's Lady Friend (currently expecting a kitten)
Max waits (not so) patiently for the trick or treaters to return.

I'd say it was a very successful Halloween indeed.

Fall - finally!

Here we are slowly slipping into winter and I'm just getting around to posting some pictures of the unbelievable fall colors. It truly is a different experience all together here in the Northeast.

Sister

Last week Marleigh was here to visit. I can't tell you how wonderful it was to have her here. To wake up in the morning and make her breakfast (then eat it with her, of course), to hear her voice calling goodnight from down the hall, to laugh and be the silly sisters we are. I loved every moment of it. Here are a few captured ones.
Beautiful Mar at the Poughkeepsie train station

Flea market shopping in Arkville

The late blooming clematis that opened just for her

Sleeping on the Metro

The Natural History Museum in NYC

Mar rescues a butterfly in Margaretville

The special heart shaped potato eaten for brekky one morning

On the way to the city

Ang captures the sisters picnicking in the park

We've already planned Marleigh's next visit (Ash is coming too!) and I can hardly wait till it's here. Counting the days Mar - I love you!

Apple season + Steve + hummingbirds

It's apple season here and we have hundreds of apples from one little century old tree in the front yard.

A few pictures from Stave and I's recent backyard adventures
The one above is my favorite. If you look closely you can see me and our house reflected in those giant unseeing pupils.

And finally the hummingbirds that are still all over the late blooming nasturtium.

A river runs through it

Well, actually it's a creek called The Esopus and it runs right across the street from our house.
