Bowl-o-rama

While Drew was visiting a few weeks ago he inspired a little bowling action. What fun!

The Dude would most definitely abide.

The "O" in Ohio

A few pictures form the Dublin (Dublin, Ohio that is) Irish Fair.

One year

Last Friday my love and I celebrated one year of wedded bliss.

There were flowers
and blue skies

There was sunshine
and hiking

There was good food to be eaten
(even spoils from the garden!)
and bubbly champagne to be drunk
There was swinging
and laughter
and a spin around the merry-go-round.

There was a little one nearby to celebrate with us
and an even little-er one to watch
as we spent the day in love, love, love.

Garden of delights

Our little veggie garden is growing - and fast! Just last week I ate the very first picking from it, two zucchini and a summer squash.

They were so unbelievably sweet!

We haven't picked anything else yet, but everything is pretty darn close...

Green bell peppers

Cucumber

Lovely big tomatoes (I'm very excited for these!)

Some of the squash have spread so far that they are growing outside the confines of the garden fence, and still not a nibble from the nearby family of bunnies.

The black raspberries (which I previously thought were blackberries) continue to ripen by the bowl full. We've already made several crumbles and there are gobs more to be had.

Only one pumpkin seems to be growing, but isn't it growing wonderfully?

The cilantro (and other herbs) are growing like mad and even flowering. The little blossoms are so pretty, I don't have t he heart to chop them.

And the green beans are finally coming along too!

Jalapeños right behind

and even the potatoes are getting big

It is so delightfully satisfying to watch this all unfold in my little yard. I must admit, I am quite proud of myself.
