Lets start with the "Bulb Series"...
Then a few of the holiday decorations up at our place this year
And a few shots from walks around the neighborhood
To finish with the ever funny 13 year old humor that never ceases to make me chuckle.

The Coach House
Angus, Dalbo and Drew played a FANTASTIC show at the Coach House last weekend, and I was fortunate enough to be there and snap a few pics....
This is when Angus actually lost is head for a moment. Thank goodness it was found, only seconds later.
A wonderful night, an amazing show. Until the next time...

Some happenings
So, turns out I didn't go to the Franklin Village Street Fair....oh well. Instead I bring you random pictures from the past few weeks. Strangely, none of the magnificent Thanksgiving feast we had. I think I was so weighed down by turkey, stuffing, cranberries, gravy and pie that I could not lift my arm to frame a photograph, let alone depress my overworked index finger (from all the stirring and fork lifting) to snap the shutter. Suffice to say that is was a beautiful occasion spent amongst those I love. I was, and am, very thankful.
Turns out we DO have seasons in Los Angeles....if you're looking in the right places anyway.
Angus goes Big Band with Tim Davies this week. A very different experience hearing his songs complete with trumpets and trombones, saxophones and horns. A wonderful new sound!
This little bee flew right into my shot! I suppose we all like to have our portraits taken.
Because I can never have too many reflection shots.

The Gig
Just a few shots from the show at The Gig a couple weeks ago.
Meh, nothing too spectacular - but there is excitement to come! I'll be at the Franklin Street Fair this weekend taking pictures of the music and merriment, a post to follow soon after.
But just for fun...

Papa John
Last week my dad was in town, and man! - did we have a great time. He met the hubby for the first time (went swimmingly, who wouldn't love Ang?). He also got to see some of my recent photos and the new ax (Nikon D40) and we BBQ'd the crap outta some shish kabobs! It was a wonderful (albeit short) week with Papa John.
A few photos of the BBQ:
As both my father and I have gotten older we have developed such a beautiful adult relationship. It is one that is rooted in my childhood memories and games, but has expanded into my grown up reality. Over the years it has changed and evolved with us, letting out guilt and awkwardness and letting in more love and trust. I treasure this connection and thrive on its continued growth. I love you Papa John, thank you for coming to visit. I will see you soon!

Feral children on the loose
Papa John does not approve of my silly ass grin (and, frankly, neither do I)
